Throughout the valley and the nearby mountain region, you will find numerous hiking trails, quiet walkways, and scenic drives. A close drive from Maggie Valley are beautiful waterfalls.

Maggie Valley is known for its great mom and pop restaurants that range from burger joints to fine steakhouses. Shopping includes antiques, gift shops, and craft shops.



Annual festivals feature the Southeastern Mini Truckin' Nationals, KKOA Icons of Hotrodding Festival, WNC Jeep Fest, and Thunder in the Smokies Summer Motorcycle Rally. Arts & Crafts festivals are held three times each year. Music concerts and hillbilly jams are also popular annual events.

Accommodations include overnight cabin rentals and lots of mom and pop motels.

Fishing is a popular outdoor sport. A beautiful river runs through the valley and there are lots of great fishing spots nearby.
